TVET Policy (2019)
The TVET Policy is to support the creation of needed employable skills and competencies relevant for the national transformational labour market as opposed to just acquisition of educational certificates. It targets all Ugandans in need of skills for employment. The Policy emphasizes a flexible workplace-oriented (practical) delivery when juxtaposed with the theoretical knowledge acquisition under the current general education system and it shifts TVET management from the government led to Public- Private Partnerships (PPP) delivery.

With nearly 60% of Kenya's population under the age of 25, it is imperative that we find ways to build their skills for both work and life in order for them to become productive members of the economy and responsible citizens. The Kenya Skills Show is a production of the Permanent Working Group on TVET, in collaboration with the State Department of Technical and Vocational Training of the Ministry of Education and the TVET Authority.

BEAR II is a joint effort between UNESCO and the Republic of Korea to improve the TVET systems of five beneficiary countries in Eastern Africa.
Mahe process advocates for the improvement of TVET across East Africa through sharing of information and working towards regional harmonisation and mutualization.
The need for integrating ICT is very critical in the post-COVID-19 world that has disrupted TVET activities. This brings about the need for a TVET regional platform for member states to collaborate, exchange information and support in harmonisation and mutualization activities under the Mahe Process.
