The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development launched the revised National Human Resource Development (HRD) Policy, 2018. The overall objective of the policy is to serve as an overarching framework for supporting and guiding the complementary HRD strategy, the HRD Implementation Plan, the National Training Plan and other related interventions.
The Seychelles National Qualification Framework (NQF) was produced and implemented in 2008 following the setting up of the Seychelles Qualification Authority (SQA) in 2006. The NQF formalises the requirement for both public and private education and training providers throughout the country to deliver quality-assured, nationally recognised, consistent standards and qualifications. It is designed to provide quality assured, nationally recognized consistent training standards and qualifications, including skills acquired, which encompass Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
