Regional OERs

Open Educational Resources (OERs) are teaching, learning and research materials in any medium – digital or otherwise – that reside in the public domain or have been released under an open licence that permits no-cost access, use, adaptation and redistribution by others with no or limited restrictions.

Open Educational Resources (OERs) form part of ‘Open Solutions’, alongside Free and Open Source software (FOSS), Open Access (OA), Open Data (OD) and crowdsourcing platforms.

Seychelles and Madagascar will work with the Centre of Learning (COL) to determine the feasibility of expanding the Virtual University for Small States of the Commonwealth (VUSSC) and/or UNESCO-UNEVOC Forum for this purpose.

They will explore options to share resources and innovative activities, such as the STEP programme and the incubation centre in Djibouti, and other countries in specific teaching training programmes. Peer learning activities will be included.
