Harmonisation of qualifications is important for regional mobility and TVET synergies.
A select group of countries with National Qualification Frameworks (NQFs) is undertaking a referencing process to build trust and improve understanding.
Mauritius along with Seychelles and Kenya will identify two sectors (e.g. tourism, solar energy) in which such a process can be undertaken, including mutualisation and in particular QA frameworks. Work underway in SADC, ECOWAS, and continentally, as well as international comparisons shall be considered.
