Working with the African Union and WorldSkills Namibia, WorldSkills Africa 2020-2022 is a series of capacity building workshops with a skills competition that will take place from 28 March to 2 April 2022 in Swakopmund, Namibia.
The programme focuses on:
• Collaborative mentorship between WorldSkills International Experts and National Experts (VET teachers/trainers from Africa)
• Inclusiveness and human-centred design approach
• Knowledge exchange on occupational standards, skills training, Test Project development with social values, and skills competition management
The biennial WorldSkills Africa programme is open to all Member States of the African Union. Invitations to join are distributed through the official communication channels of the African Union to the ministries in charge of Vocational Education and Training.
The responsible ministries are welcome to register VET teachers/trainers to join the capacity building workshops and send Competitors to the skills competition. Organizations that are supported by the responsible ministries to represent their countries are also eligible to register VET teachers/trainers and Competitors.
