The TVET Value Chain is a model that provides an overview of the TVET ecosystem. It has eight primary functions and sixteen supporting functions. Each function has multiple sub-functions.

Kenya TVET National Skills Gateway

Kenya TVET National Skills Gateway (web platform and mobile app) is the Government of Kenya’s one-stop portal for all information related to TVET. Access information on training programmes, training providers, occupations, career counselling, labour market, skills anticipation and job opportunities, funding, events, innovations, success stories and more! You can also contribute information to the platform.

National skills portal for TVET in Madagascar

Madagascar TVET National Skills Gateway is the Malagasy government’s single platform for all information related to TVET in the country. The platform and the mobile application are managed by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training (METFP) in collaboration with all TVET stakeholders in Madagascar.

BEAR II

The Better Education for Africa’s Rise II (BEAR II) is a joint initiative of UNESCO and the Republic of Korea, implemented from 2017 to 2022. The project supports five Eastern African countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, the United Republic of Tanzania and Uganda, in improving the relevance, quality and perception of their TVET systems.

BEAR I

The first Better Education for Africa’s Rise (BEAR) project was launched by UNESCO in 2011 and implemented until 2016, funded by the Government of the Republic of Korea. It supported TVET systems in five Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries, namely: Botswana, DR Congo, Malawi, Namibia, and Zambia.
